Man accidentally nails hand to roof – filming starts on 127 Hours Sequel

MIGHT this be the sequel to 127 Hours, the film in which a man slices off his trapped hand in a successful bid to save the rest of his body? In this film, a man has nailed his little finger to the roof of a Coconut Grove home.

Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Iggy Carroll narrates:

“It was that one finger on his left hand where the nail went through and into the wood. And we wasn’t able to free himself, so that’s when they called 911.”

The fire crew removed a section of the roof.

“We actually had to cut the roof around his hand so we could safely move him down.  Anytime you have someone impaled you don’t want to pull it out. We cut around it…Because of the pitch of the roof and the drop was about 30 feet, our units called for additional resources, so we brought a special team, our Technical Rescue Team, to come out here and provide a little more safety equipment for our paramedics to remove this gentleman.”

Ninety And A Bit Minutes is the right length for a blockbuster, and with Mel Gibson as the carpenter hammering a pewter NailT pendant (see official The Passion merchandise) it stands every chance of success…
