Face of The Day: Zohaib Ali and the iPad 3 landfill hunters

by | 15th, March 2012

FACE of The Day:  The first person in the queue for the new iPad 3, is  Zohaib Ali, from Uxbridge, who has queued since 11am on Saturday March 10. He sits outside the Apple Store on Regent Street in London.

The iPad 3 will, experts say, surpass the iPad and very soon the iPad 2 in terms of sheer erudite beauty as it sits in second hand gadget shops and desk drawers. But only those lucky enough to be able to queue for days at time in the street will get one. The rest of you will continue with your sad menaingless lives, unable to take photos of your knees while you browse the web for news on how exclusive the iPad 3 is and how inferior the other versions are.

PS – what Zohaib doesn’t know yet is that to get the elusive iPad 3 you need to pass a series of humiliating tests and eat your own feet.

Apple employees welcomes hundreds of customers in front of the Apple store at a shopping mall in Oberhausen, western Germany, as the new iPad goes on sale, Friday, March 16, 2012. The customary storefront crowds are expected to gather as Apple's latest iPad goes on sale Friday. Long lines are likely even though customers could have ordered the new tablet computer ahead of time for first-day home delivery. The third version of Apple's iPad will be available in the U.S. and nine other countries beginning at 8 a.m. local time. The new model comes with a faster processor and a much sharper screen. It also boasts an improved camera, similar to that of the latest iPhone. (AP Photo/Martin Meissner)
