Figurine Fairy strikes Bury St Edmonds

by | 19th, March 2012

THERE’S a mystery brewing on Godolphin Close, Bury St Edmunds. Last week, 14 homeowners opened their front doors to find a box and a note on their doorsteps. The note said: “Please take care of me.” Inside the package were pristine, bone china figurines by Royal Worcester pottery.

In all, around 40 figures have been found. Says PCSO Matt Smith:

“This is certainly a very interesting case indeed. I’ve never come across anything quite like it and although I’m sure the residents of Godolphin Close would provide very good homes for the figurines, we are keen to hear from anyone who may have had their own collection lost or stolen just in case we can assist in reuniting them.”
