The Hunger Games gives a Daily Mail writer’s drippy daughter nightmares
MORE signs that the Daily Mail and its online sister is aimed not at reporting news but at fomenting comment and outrage. Shona Sibary took her two daughters to see The Hunger Games. And – yep – it is a corrosive influence on young minds. A scare story is born:
Ever since the moment we stepped out of the cinema, I have quite genuinely been worried sick that they may have suffered lasting emotional scars.
One of Shona’s children cried when “her younger brother once, accidentally, trod on a ladybird”.
So, with a deadline looming, mum took them to the senstive kids to the cinema to see a 12A film and then with money earned stuck their photos in the paper.

Thinking about it. It could solve the economic crisis, the population problem, and Scottish nationalism. I propose a ginormous game of British Bulldog. Kids of the North versus Kids of the South. No adult intervention, except booing from the terraces and wheelbarrowing innards and stuff out of the way

Way to raise your children,I’m sure they will be an asset to any employer.Well rounded and able to deal with any situation life throws at them.Their mother deserves an award,in fact the entire family deserves medals and commendations to reinforce their unrivaled brilliance and participation in life.

She should have told the two kids that she would only take one to see the film and then let them fight it out

My sister-in-law wouldn’t let her two boys watch the beginning of Finding Nemo because she thought it would be too upsetting for them. I thought FFS, it’s a bloody cartoon!

maybe she should concentrate on her lack of parenting skills, rather than blaming the film….?
