Are the NYPD about to find Etan Patz? Kyron Horman is missing

by | 20th, April 2012

ETAN Patz was 6 when he disappeared on May 25, 1979.

President Ronald Reagan would name May 25 National Missing Children’s Day.

The New Yorker was last seen a block from his home in the city’s SoHo. He was last seen walking to a bus stop alone. He was on his way to school. It was the first time he had ever made the trip unaccompanied.

When he did not arrive home from school, Etan’s mother Julie Patz called the police. And so it began…

Earlier this month cadaver dogs picked up a scent in a SoHo basement. A New York man, who was 42 at the time, is said to have told investigators: “What if the body was moved?”

The basement’s cement floor is being dug up.

The carpenter is not under arrest.

Why? Well in 2001, Etan was declared dead. His family sued a Jose Antonio Ramos in a civil court. Ramos was a convicted child molester who knew Etan’s babysitter. A judge said Ramos was behind Etan’s death. He ordered Ramos to pay the family $2 million. Ramos never paid. Why? Well, he was never charged with the crime. Later this year, Ramos will be released from a 20 year sentence for molesting a boy.

Meanwhile, in Portland Oregon, Kyron Horman is missing….

New life has been breathed into the missing child case of Etan Patz after Pedro Hernandez implicated himself in the 6-year-old's death, whose disappearance 33 years ago on his way to school helped launch a missing children's movement that put kids' faces on milk cartons.
