‘Stray’ dog Xiao Sa runs 17000km from China to Tibet – dinner is served

ANYONE in China lost a dog? A dog, nicknamed Xiao Sa, has spent the past 24 days running more than 1,700 from Kangding, Sichuan province, to Lhasa in Tibet with a team of cyclists. Zhang Heng, 22, a student in Wuhan, Hubei province, was on the ride. He says the dog was a stray:

“She was lying, tired, on the street around Yajiang, Sichuan province. o we fed her, and then she followed our team…We felt she might want to come along with us, so we decided to bring her along to the end. We thought the dog was encouraging us.”

When the roads got too steep and dusty for some cyclists, they took the bus. Xiao Sa only stopped running when Zhang stuck it on the back of his bike for the downhill sections.
He adds:

“I would like to take the dog home and take care of her. She has been a stray on the road for a long time. She needs a home.”

Xiao Sa is famous. The dog might be the first thing to cross into Tibet from China to universal applause.

But who owns it? And what did they feed it on? And, finally, what would you or Barack Obama pay to eat such a powerful dog. The marketing department awaits your call…
