TIA Sharpe’s body has been found.  It was at her grandmother’s home. A murder investigation is now underway. Police are seeking to talk with Stuart Hazell, the grandmother’s lover.  It’s a man hunt, says Sky News.

UPDATE: TiaSharp suspect Stuart Hazell arrested after being spotted by passer by. He’s been charged with murder.

The Sun:

Cops hunting for Tia find body at gran’s home

The police report told us:

Tia Sharp was last seen leaving her grandmother’s home in New Addington at around 12.00hrs (midday) on Friday 3 August.

Today police moved journalists away from the home in New Addington Stuart Hazell shares with Christine Sharp. They sealed off an area. After the drip feeding of information on Stuart Hazell, the police went in and pulled the place apart. They sensed something was wrong. Police Officers blocked off the alley to No. 20 The Lindens, New Addington, Surrey.

Christine Sharp has not been arrested. She was seen wearing her ‘Missing Tia’ T-shirt as she got into police car.

What Stuart Hazell told police:

“I woke up in the morning, I come downstairs, done my usual thing, let the dogs run around a bit as they’re asleep in their beds, make myself a cup of coffee, had a cigarette, sat down, watched telly, just everyday things I guess. Sitting down here for about an hour, watching whatever rubbish is on, got up went to the kitchen, started putting stuff away, then Tia come downstairs Tia comes downstairs, round about half Ten, Eleven. She’d been going on about going to Croydon and getting up early. She come downstairs, sat down, watching telly, played the DS, she had toast, then wanted a sausage roll – she was always eating sausage rolls – then she doesn’t take her washing up so I take it out. I start doing a bit of washing up, she was telling me what she was doing but I wasn’t really logging it into my head. I cleaned the kitchen, then started sweeping up in here, then hoovering, I’ve hoovered the rug. Done all the hallway, had another cigarette, then gone upstairs done the washing made sure there’s no washing. Went back upstairs & made the bed, come downstairs, by then Tia is coming upstairs to get changed, she was mumbling, I can’t remember what about. As I was hoovering, she walked past me, from the front room to go out the front door and that’s all I knew & she left her bloody phone on charge – I know because I’d told her to sit there and leave her phone on charge, cos I told her to not touch it just leave it there charging, but she just left it, she’s responsible enough to go to Croydon herself, she knows buses & trams. She’s done it all on her own, it was just an everyday thing but the one time you wanna bloody listen to her and you don’t. she said uhh goodbye! And I said well make sure you’re back at 6, she went “yeah yeah yeah” and that was it and the door closed and she walks out'”

A Metropolitan Police spokesman tells us:

“A murder enquiry has been launched after a body was found at 20 The Lindens, New Addington, following a search of the property this afternoon. Enquiries are also underway to establish the identity of the body. We are seeking to find Stuart Hazell to be interviewed in connection with this case. He should not be approached and if seen people should call 999 immediately. There have been no arrests in connection with this investigation at this time”

What of Tia’s mother? The Mail reports:

Christine Sharp has said her daughter Natalie is ‘in bits’ that her 12-year-old is still gone, and she has now left Croydon as ‘she needed to get away’ but does not know where.

The Sun finds a local:

Alston Millington, 32, said: “Personally, I was hoping she had a bit of trouble at home and had run off, rebelling against the family maybe. I was hoping she would be found somewhere with somebody. It is very hard to get out of Addington without being seen in either a car, tram or bus.”

Sky’s Martin Brunt:

“Questions will be asked about why the body was not found earlier in the week because we know police have searched the house in a small way at least twice with sniffer dogs. Of course we don’t know if the body has been there throughout the week – the likelihood though is it has been.”

Were they sniffer dogs. Or was in an alsatian?
