Fox demands beheading and hanging at University of Hertfordshire

by | 2nd, September 2012

DO animals like being decapitated and their heads hanged on walls. To the University of Hertfordshire, in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, where a fox has burrowed into an office This photo was taken by builders doing renovation work.

RSPCA worker Kate Wright describes the scene:

“I just had these big eyes staring at me. Here was this fox’s head poking out of a floor and he was so jammed he couldn’t move. I actually think he had quite an embarrassed expression on his face… I think it was his pride that was hurt…”

Maybe the fox is tired of eating fast food leftovers from polystyrene boxes, mauling babies and screeching during pavement coitus. Fox has fallen into a rheumy-eyed dream of how life used to be when they were hunted by toffs and loved by urban types who wanted to kick the Shires in the hunts. Once upon a time, being called foxy meant you were elusive and worth chasing. Now it means you’re a filthy bin diver who murders pets.

Once upon a time Foxy would have been pride of place above the dinner table in grand country resident. Now. He lives by the A41 and watches traffic. The so-called animal lovers did that to a once proud creature…
