Lake Annecy murders: a Mitsubishi Pajero 4×4 and British number plates

LAKE Annecy murders:  the lone assassin.

The Times says Zainab Hilli, 7, has told police that “one bad guy” murdered her fahter, Saad al-Hilli, 50, her mother, Iqbal al-Hilli, 47, her grandmother, Suhaila Allaf, 74, and “passing French cyclist” Sylvain Mollier, 45.

Why do the reports always describe him as “passing“? Is it a fact?

Meanwhile, the hunt is on for a dark Mitsubishi Pajero 4×4 with tinted rear windows. The car’s driver is a dark-skinned man who drove the road to Lyons after the attack.

The Times adds:

French police said yesterday that they have ruled out Mrs Hilli’s brother from the investigation because he was in a psychiatric hospital in Sweden on the day of the killings.

And:

A French newspaper website quoted a prosecution source saying that the Mitsubishi had British numberplates, although this was denied by a police source in Paris.
