Mitt Romney lanches a grenade into his own campaign – the Mother Jones video

by | 18th, September 2012

MITT Romney told guests at a $50,000-per-head event in Boca Raton, Florida, that 47 per cent of Americans were shamwless government dependents who would vote for Mr Obama no matter what he did:

“[They] believe that they are victims, who believe the Government has a responsibility to care for them. These are people who pay no income tax … I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives…”

His job “is not to worry about those people”…

“Frankly, I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth.”

Romney then found room between his foot and silver spoon to open his mouth and say:

“It’s not elegantly stated let me put it that way. I was speaking off the cuff.”

Thanks to Mother Jones, all the Romney bon mots have been compiled into one handy video gob stopper.
