Does Herefordshire Council support anti-gay evangelists in Uganda?

by | 30th, October 2012

IT’S dangerous to be gay in Uganda, where homosexuality is illegal. The country’s anti-homosexuality bill goes further. It will mean life imprisonment and death for gays.

In 2011, BBC 3 invited us to watch The World’s Worst Place to Be Gay?. The show featured DJ Scott Mills interrupting a travelogue to show us that gays in Uganda are marginalised and persecuted. Homosexuality is likened to witchcraft. Feelings are antagonised by US evangelicals and Western donors, like Scott Lively.

In June 2012, Uganda banned 38 NGOs for promoting homosexuality:

Ethics Minister Simon Lokodo told Reuters the organisations being targeted were receiving support from abroad for Uganda’s homosexuals and accused gays and lesbians of “recruiting” young children in the country into homosexuality. The NGOs are channels through which monies are channelled to (homosexuals) to recruit,” the minister, a former Catholic priest, said.

In 2010,  Charles Tuhaise, President of the National Association of Social Workers of Uganda, opined:

Demonic activity can be violent or latent as in the case of Mary Magdalene, a woman whose work as a prostitute had demonic link, until she met Jesus. For this reason, Social Work should include the study of the spiritual dimension of life and how it may be applied to promote well-being and social functioning.

We’re minded of all that from a photo that landed in our Inbox today (see above).

BEWARE!! Notorious Bum Driller On The Loose:

Lugazi police in conjunction with their counterparts in Entebbe are hunting for a notorious bum driller who escaped from police cells. Louis Kasibante, 24, a resident of Kikawula Zone in Lugazi was arrested on October 18, 2010 after he shattered one Mutumba’s ass. Narrating his ordeal, Mutumba told police that Kasibante would jokingly touch his Luzinda-like bums. “At first, I thought he was being a bully until he told me that he fancied downloading his sperms in my butt…”

The Herford Freedom Church has a branch in Uganda. There is nothing to say they support the odious so-called Kill The Gays bill mentioned above. They are associated with America’s anti-gay New Spring Church.

Mike Parker writes:

With the help of Newspring Church and Perry Noble, Freedom have been able to plant campuses in Bristol, Cardiff, Brugge, Kampala Uganda, as well as maintain their main campus in Hereford.

They are backed by Herefordshire Council. Why? Do people of Herfordshire support the evangelical Christian stance on homosexuality?
