Rome statue of Pope John Paul II reworked to look like Ant McPartlin

POPE John Paul II looked like Benito Mussolini. Fact. It’s why so many Italians loved him. The statue of Il Papa by sculptor Oliviero Rainaldi stands in Rome’s Termini train station. The original version wasn’t so great, so it was reworked. The thing now looks a lot like two former heroes of Italy. It is the austerity sculpture, a one-stop effigy for all Italy’s leaders. If you squint, you can see Silvio Berlusconi.
