Indeed, mahat. I was in the west country in the summer, where I watched the local BBC news, which covers Devon and Cornwall, maybe Somerset, which has an ethnic population of around a 0.5% of the region, yet both the news reader and weatherman were black. I’m sure they were there on merit though…

I wonder how the relatives of one of the 20 isreali civilians who were murdered by a hamas rocket since 2008 would feel hearing a man who is supposed to represent them try to deny the death of their husband/farther/son?

Gerry, well said, your post gets my vote ! Muslims & 3rd world ethnics are vastly over represented on the BBC. Anybody switching channels to the BBC even for a few minutes gets the impression its the Bangladeshi Baluchistani Channel & not a British channel.
