Rolling Stones: the 50th Anniversary show in photos
THE Rolling Stones are back. Ronnie Wood, Charlie Watts, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards performed at the O2 Arena in London for their Rolling Stones 50th anniversary series of concerts. This was not Hyde Park, London, 1969, when the Stones used a free gig to showcase new guitarist Mick Taylor and remember Brian Jones , who had died just two days earlier. Jagger took the microphone and opined: “Peace, peace! He is not dead, he doth not sleep/ He hath awakened from the dream of life…” Then 3,500 white butterflies were let out of their boxed. Many did not live long. But the Stones endured…
