Sarah Champion takes Rotherham for Labour: tired parents lose

by | 30th, November 2012

THE new MP for Rotherham is Sarah Champion. The Labour Party has held the seat. UKIP came second. As we know a vote for UKIP in the Labour controlled town is a vote for an extended holiday from your children. Many tried to force the break. But, alas, the plot failed. So. Champion replaces disgraced Denis MacShane (he fiddled his expenses) as the Labour leader.

Labour rejoice! Well, not quite. As one voice tells the Rotherham Advertiser:

“These people who ‘arrive’ in Rotherham to further  their career and then decide they know enough about us to represent us, make me sick. What a slap in the face to impose someone who has been a card carrying  member for two years and a union member for two weeks. You would have thought they had learned a lesson because they imposed MacShane and they say we aren’t capable of choosing a candidate. Excuse me while I got an puke.”

First they come for your kids. Now they want your jobs…
