The organisation's 12-strong board gathered at a London hotel to debate the sex scandal which has engulfed the governing body. Board members were hearing the results of an investigation into how the FA initially denied Eriksson had a relationship with FA secretary Faria Alam, then later had to admit it was true. The FA also confirmed that chief executive Mark Palios had a fling with Ms Alam. Palios resigned on Sunday night over the furore.
