We live in a victim culture , and nearly everyone who appears in the Press has to be portrayed as either a villain or a victim of something or someone. Since we now have an alleged victim , we now need villains and the Aussie DJs fit the bill nicely.
Whereas the death of this lady is very sad I cannot imagine anyone would hold her to blame for what happened , it was just a joke : the fact that she would take her own life ( if that’s indeed what did happen ) seems totally out of proportion to actual events. That’s why it’s all so shocking.
We need to make sure , before inappropriately apportioning blame , that (a) it was an actual suicide and (b) if it was a suicide , it was indeed related to what happened in regards to the hospital.

I cannot think of anything vile enough to call this type of “reporting.” No one knows why or if this woman committed suicide…they don’t even know how she died. Yet, here you come with a headline that asks a question that has no validity whatsoever. Early reports said she had nothing to do with the Princess during her stay at that hospital. All eyes should be on the woman who died. If it was suicide why did she do it? If it wasn’t…how did this happen? No mentally fit human being would commit suicide over something so ridiculous.

The Police should be investigating the Hospital in London. It will be very interesting WHO the Coroner is. On this occasion it should be someone who has no vested interest and is therefore separate from all association with the Crown.
Equally the QUEENS Police jumped to the conclusion that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the case, within hours of the tragedy. That stinks of collusion!
- It is too easy to look to Australia and lay the blame there. Just like the paparazzi were blamed for Diana, now the Establishment want to blame this tragedy on a Joke gone wrong.

- It was not the joke – it was the humourless Establishment over here that reacted to it, so punitively.

N sander – The headline is deliberately dumb. Maybe I should add quotation marks. The story is about a woman who died. We do not yet know why. All we know is who and where. But the story isn’t about the victim. It’s become about the media and Kate. The dead woman and her loved ones become bystanders as the chattering classes debate what went on in her mind.

What an utter travesty of a headline. Displays the worst kind of disrespect for people. Whatever happened to good manners. I am afraid newshounds and the press have made this a worse world….not better.
