Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre: Mike Huckabee blames removal of ‘God from schools’
SANDY Hook Elementary School massacre: former Arkansas governor and GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee see God. He tells Fox News:
“Ultimately, you can take away every gun in America and somebody will use a bomb. When somebody has an intent to do incredible damage, they’re going to find a way to do it… People will want to pass new laws, but unless you change people’s hearts, they’re our transition to the pastor side. This is a heart issue, it’s not something, laws don’t change this kind of thing.”
It’s not guns, then.
“..We ask why there is violence in our schools, but we’ve systematically removed God from our schools. Should we be so surprised that schools would become a place of carnage because we’ve made it a palce where we don’t want to talk about eternity, life, what responsibility means, accountability? That we’re not just going to have to be accountable to the police, if they catch us. But one day, we will stand before a Holy God in judgment. If we don’t believe that, then we don’t fear that.”
Blame a lack of fear…

I think God has packed his celestial suitcase and fucked off a long time ago, somewhere round the Dunblande Massacre and the Death of the Princess of Wales.

In your bereavement, Pastor Huckabee comforts by saying, “Oh, that random act of unconscionable evil and violence that killed your child? That’s because we’ve allowed God to be taken out of our schools.”
And what was God’s message at the Portland, Oregon, mall earlier this week?: That we’ve systematically removed Him from our food courts? Was He sending a message in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, this past summer because the Sikhs have systematically removed him from their temples?
Imagine the rest of that conversation:

Mr. Huckabee, you sound as if, after all this, you still think guns are okay. Typical American Republican. This wasn’t a case of no God in the schools. This was a case of someone with easy access to dangerous weapons, absolute killing machines. What this has to do with either “having God” in the schools or not is beyond my understanding.
