He has moved on , his son has married a Frau & now lives in Germany , he has a new grandaughter., but at night when he goes to sleep, ghosts of the past come back to haunt him & he howls out like a whipped dog. Who will remember the horror when he’s gone?….we will….& as you said the works of the likes of Primo Levi will be as witness to what was.
