I fail to understand how these people can bang on about a piece of legislation designed to cope with life hundreds of years ago in a comparatively lawless society. Nobody needs to keep an assault weapon at home, it is ridiculous and dangerous, particularly when it seems that many of these gun-owners (the vocal ones at least) are paranoid and therefore a potential danger to others themselves.

Also , Connecticut police will not confirm whether the guns were registered to Nancy Lanza or not.

Its not entirely clear whether a Bushmaster assault rifle was in fact used at Sandy Hook. Connecticut State Police issued a statement saying that one was used , but the Federal Investigation said that 4 handguns were used instead.
