Vietnam’s pig-chopping Festival is truly disgusting (video NSFW)

IT’S the annual “pig-chopping” festival in Nem Thuong, Vietnam. On the sixth day of each lunar new year, some locals honour a god called Doan Thuong. One highlight is the butchering of a live pig.

Yahoo! News India reports that the live pig is tied up with it belly high and then sliced in half.

It is disgusting. And how did it ever get onto YouTube?

PS – Of course, is the pig were a fish or a live bug on a reality TV game show, it would just be fresh food and entertaining. Is there a difference. Yes. This is designed to cause suffering. It’s utterly barbaric. You’ve been warned:
