Man tried to have sex with ambulance in Barnstaple, Devon

TO Barnstaple, Devon, where old hippies got to die. Calum Ward, 25, is in the dock at North Devon Magistrates’ Court. It’s put to him that whilst drunk he set fire to a packet of peanuts – which he then punched – and tried to have sex with an ambulance parked at Barnstable bus station.

The action was captured on CCTV on November 12, 2012.

Ward was sentenced to a community order with a supervision requirement for six months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60.

The court calls Kelly Camm, 23, of 9 Larkstone Terrace in Ilfracombe, for  assaulting a police officer and being drunk and disorderly.

Michael Oerton, for the defence delivers the killer line:

“Since she first fell pregnant in April 2007 she has stopped drinking altogether. This was her first night of drinking in seven years, she broke that golden rule.”

Camm was given a three-month community rehabilitation order with a curfew between 8pm and 8am. She was ordered to pay £50 compensation to PC Stephenson and a victim surcharge of £60.
