Joe Cole tells Liverpool fans what they already know: you’re not that big
HOW football reporting works, with West Ham’s Joe Cole:
This is what Cole said when he joined Liverpool:
“I could have stayed at Chelsea because the fans loved me and I won things, but I wanted to challenge myself and when I knew Liverpool were interested it was a no-brainer because they are the biggest club in the country.”
He now explains:
“When I joined, the guy interviewing me said ‘you’ve joined the biggest club in the country’ and reeled off the trophies they’d won,” said Cole. “I just said ‘yeah, if you put it like that, I suppose you’re right’ and Liverpool used that as the headline to the interview. I didn’t want to upset anyone so I just went along with it. But obviously they’re not the biggest club in the country any more. How do you judge how big a club are? Nottingham Forest won the European Cup twice but they’re not a bigger club than Chelsea. I didn’t want to upset anyone so I just went along with it. But obviously they’re not the biggest club in the country anymore.”
West Ham, of course, won the World Cup. They’re the biggest.

Liverpool fans are well aware that their team is not the force it once was… they’re also well aware that Joe Cole is shite. What next? Christian Poulsen telling us we’re not going to qualify for the Champions League this year? Paul Konchesky pointing out that Man City have better players?

Face it, Liverpool are now a midtable to top six team. The glory hunters support Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea now so a huge amount of your support has gone. It was good while it lasted.

Who cares what Joe Cole says? He was finished when he left Chelsea and has been shvt ever since.
Liverpool are bigger than Chelsea, that’s for sure. And when the Russian has left, Chelsea will sink back into being an average London club.

He’s right though.

If Liverpool aren’t a big club anymore why are you do obsessed with rehashing any story from the last few days to have a go at them? Answer, Liverpool still generates as much interest and clicks for your advertisers as any other club in the world

West ham still have to come to Anfield and I hope he gets booed the whole match for being the biggest disappointment in Liverpool’s history.

Liverpool gave Cole a lot of money and even paid most his big wages to play in France to make him happy and when he left for west ham Liverpool even gave him a big pay off for doing absolutely nothing in a red shirt. I’ve no respect for than man now, not because what he said but for purposely trying to belittle Liverpool. All that matters now is Liverpool are looking good and have good players again. Sturridge, Suarez, and Courtinho would scare any defence.

This article is possibly the worst thing ever written by a human.

Cole was such a big part of Liverpool that they sent him out to a MASSIVE club in Lille! Then he couldn’t break in to the first team and has moved on to an ever BIGGER club in West Ham…
Blah blah blah….

There are few players in the history of Liverpool who have been a bigger disappointment than Joe Cole. We payed this idiot around £15M to be either injured or arrogant. Why does he not just take some of his money, ram it in his smirking gob, and shut the f*** up!

The size of a club can be measured by the size of the fanbase (Liverpool #2 in the UK), the amount of revenue earned (Liverpool #4 in the UK / #9 in Europe) and the amount of overall trophies won (Liverpool #1 in the UK).
Joe Cole can barely read or write, so I wouldn’t expect him to be able to gather such information.
