Beach goers form human chain to save boy from drowning (video)

TO Napier, New Zealand, where Josh McQuiod, 12, has been swept into the sea at Marine Parade. He’s been in the water for eight minutes.

People on the beach see him. They form a human chain.

Says Josh:

“When I was in there. I thought I was going to die. The waves smashed me so much, there were five really big ones, they flipped me around quite a few times, I was underwater. [It was] like being in a washing machine you know, just boom, boom, boom.”
