KICK STARTER project of the DAY: The Shirt Shirt. It might be a parody:

The blurb is memorable:

We make shirts that say the word “Shirt.” They are available in black or white, and they are going to be the next fashion craze.

We believe in ideas. Ideas have the power to shape our world, to change our world. Ideas can be used to create stuff, to destroy stuff, to build people up, to tear people down. Ideas can even create a revolution in the T-shirt industry. And that’s where we come in.

“Shirt.” is the next big thing. We are confident that it is going to take the world by storm. But we have to start somewhere, and that somewhere is right here on Kickstarter.

This project has two aims:

1. We want to spread the word about “Shirt.”

2. We want to get some funding to further spread the word about “Shirt.” Basically, we need some money to get the business and marketing end of it off the ground.

And we are going to achieve those two goals by selling some shirts. You are an integral part of this. Just by wearing a shirt for one day, you are exposing hundreds of people to it. This is the kind of marketing we need.

“Shirt.” is the next fad. We’ve already sold shirts to over 100 people, and they paid their hard earned money for a reason: they believe. They believe in the shirt that says “Shirt.” They believe it will prosper. You don’t want to miss out.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

We know that every project comes with risks and challenges, but our project is pretty darn simple. We are producing T-Shirts. Therefore, it is very unlikely that we will run into any problems, but if we do, we will be absolutely transparent about it.
