JOSIE Cunningham wants to be a glamour model. The Sun is happy to support her career drive by slapping her on its front page. And it’s not alone. Josie might be a national treasure because it was the nation’s treasures that payed for her massive new Jordans. As the Sun puts it:

Josie got her bosoms on the NHS. Those 36DD breasts set the taxpayer back £4,800. And might we say that given the comparative cost of bunker busters they are a bargain. The pity is that the weapons of mass distraction were not equipped with listening devices and optics to help win the war on terror. Why skimp when you can save?

Says the Leeds telesales lovely:

“My new boobs have changed my life, now I want to be the new Katie Price.”

Isn’t that Katie Price’s job, to be the new Katie Price?

Despite earning just £9,000-a-year in telesales, Josie has made several trips from her Yorkshire home to get used to the celebrity lifestyle in London nightspots.

Like where?

I already have showbiz connections as my friend’s boyfriend was a contestant on the Apprentice and I’ve been to clubs like Trader Vic’s and to the Dorchester Hotel.

Go on:

She has also had chocolate brown highlights in her hair to copy busty Katie, begun a collection of Louis Vuitton handbags — and ordered a chihuahua puppy.

What she ordered a chihuahua puppy to do is a moot point, and one best saved, perhaps, for events should Josie’s career fail and other aspects of the flesh industries dig their claws into her.

josie cunningham 3 Topless stunna Josie Cunningham gets bail out breasts on the NHSSays Josie:

“My GP referred me for the operation because I wasn’t just flat-chested — I didn’t have any boobs whatsoever. I could never go on holiday as I lived in terror of ever being seen in a bikini and could never set foot outside without a padded bra. The doctors said they’d never seen anything like it and believed me when I burst into tears and told them it was ruining my life.”

To which anyone with sensitive bone in there undies says ‘Good on yer.” If all it costs is 4 grand for a patient to feel terrific, it’s a bargain. One Prozac pill cost just under a £1. Factor in the price of therapy, and treating Josie, 22, could easily have cost far more.

Says Josie:

“I want the world to see the new me and want money and fame just like Katie — and my new boobs can make it all happen.”

Great. More money means more taxes. We’ve not splurged on Josie. We’ve invested in her, literally.

And Josie is already being used to sell papers and give people a living. Take Matthew Sinclair, chief executive of the TaxPayers’ Alliance. Before Josie, Sinclair was most likely wondering how to spin a tired story on single mums and the unemployed. The day looked dull. Then Jodie gleamed into view.

“This is a waste of NHS cash and taxpayers will be stunned that they have been landed with the bill.” The NHS is there for people with serious medical needs, not as a means of helping wannabes who fancy a career in modelling. NHS bosses must not allow the system to be manipulated by people wanting cosmetic surgery merely to enhance their career prospects.”

Nice one, Matt.

Next comes Dr Nigel Mercer, Plastic surgeon, former president of BAAPS. Yep, BAAPS.

WOMEN can sometimes be extremely distressed by their appearance. It can be quite disabling.

Thanks, Nige.

Carole Cooper, the “Sun Doctor” adds:

As a doctor, I see many patients in great need of surgery and life-saving treatments. Our scarce resources should be allocated on a more objective basis, not based on who can turn on the waterworks in a doctor’s surgery.

Very understanding, doc. (Now go and see if th Sun’s staff are feeling ok.)

Meanwhile, on the Sun’s Page 3, Sam removes her shirt, stands in her panties and tells us she is “relieved Cyprus has a deal to avoid economic meltdown”. Germany is give all the women massive breasts to keep everyone happy. It’s the bail out bargain.

PS – Is this the same Josie Cunningham billed as “model” on this site.
