Indian woman who didn’t poo for 45 days may have psychological issues
ANUSHA, 28, from Mumbai, India, hadn’t been to the toilet for 45 days when she visited the Nova Specialty Surgery Centre in Chembur.
A quick test located a “football-sized” faecal mass stuck in her insides.
Dr Amit Thadhani, consulting general and laparoscopic surgeon at the Nova centre, explains:
“Her intake had gone down, though she was not going empty stomach. Her abdomen was bloated and was exerting pressure on other organs…We could not use instruments to break the rock-hard faecal matter as that could have damaged the intestine. As it is, she was lucky that her intestines were not perforated already.”
He used an endoscopic sigmoid colostomy to remove huge turd.
The Times of India says Anusha condition could be rooted in her mind. Thadhani has referred her to a psychiatrist. Having been to India, I can only see says that anyone who doesn’t go to the toilet for day, let along 45 days must have mind like a streel trap.
