This fur-lined tea cup and saucer made by Meret Oppenheim was one of 694 items shown at the Museum of Modern Art’s exhibition of Fantastic Art, Dada and Surrealism in New York, Dec. 9, 1936. The show is concerned with irrational artistic manifestations from the fifteenth century to the present.
