Amina Tyler: FEMEN go topless for Angela Merkel
FEMEN went topless in front of German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s offices in Berlin on Friday. The protestors want four fellow activists jailed in Tunisia freed. Merkel is meeting with Tunisian Premiere Ali Larayedh. FEMEN want her to broach the matter.
On May 29, three European FEMEN activists - Pauline Hillier, Marguerite Stern and Josephine Markmann – were jailed for showing their topless support for Tunisian activist Amina Sboui, aka Amina Tyler. She was jailed for posting a photo of her topless self on the web. The trio stood before the Tunisian central courthouse and bared the slogans on their naked chests: “Immediate release for Amina!”, “We fuck your morals!”, “Breast feed revolution!” A confident nation would smile and let them be. Tunisia arrested them.
