Tottenham Hotspur's Gareth Bale celebrates scoring his side's second goal of the game

THE Daily Bale: Anorak’s look at the Tottenham Hotspur star in the news:

The Sun leads with new that Gareth Bale is trying to trademark his goal celebration, the one where he dements his fingers into a heart shape.

This is an “EXCLUSIVE”.

Only, it wasn’t an exclusive when we reported on it back May 23rd. Then it was just a story that others had also noted. We also noted 10 people and brands who had also used the love fingers gesture. They might be upset at Bale muscling in on their fingers.

And it;s big money. The Sun says the logo gesture could net Bale £10m a yer. The Mirror says it could be worth £3m a year.

But what about the Bale transfer? Will Brand Bale make more money at Spurs or Madrid or Manchester United or PSG or..?

Daily Star: “PSG SWOOP FOR AVB AND GARETH BALE GATHERS PACE”

TOTTENHAM look increasingly likely to lose boss Andre Villas-Boas and star man Gareth Bale to Paris Saint-Germain, according to French media reports. StarSport reported on Friday that PSG were planning the double swoop that would rock European football.

And French newspaper Le Parisien this morning reported that “discussions are progressing well” between the two sides.

The Evening Standard adds:

It is understood no official approach has yet been made for the Tottenham boss, who has two years left to run on his current deal at White Hart Lane.

Or as MiuSoccer.com says:

French moneybags PSG have offered to buy Gareth Bale for a world record £85 million in a bid to try and prise Andre Villas-Boas away from White Hart Lane.

The Tottenham manager turned down a first approach from the Qatari-owned club to move to Paris next season.

So an approach has been made?

The Mirror reports:

PSG have offered to buy Gareth Bale in a bid to lure Andre Villas-Boas to the French capital.

The Tottenham manager turned down a first approach from the Qatari-owned club to move to Paris next season.

But PSG have now returned determined to land the 35-year-old Portuguese – and have discussed a world record £85m bid for Bale as part of the negotiations.

That heart logo would work well for Paris, city of love. Bale could create an ‘M’ for Manchester or Madrid. Oddly, he has so far only opted for the letter A for Arsenal (see above photo). What can it mean? What can any of it mean?

More Bale Balls every day…
