REMEMBER when Michelle Pfeiffer lived on nothing but sunlight. No food, no water, no nothing that wasn’t sunlight? You don’t, but she certainly does as she was in a completely barking cult at the time.

You seem, Pfeiffer was a breatharian.

What’s one of those when they’re at home? Well, breatharians are people who believe that you only need is sunlight to survive. She joined those nutjobs when she was green, shortly after landing in Hollywood at age 20.

She was wooed by a couple who put her on a sustenance plan that “nobody can adhere to.”

“They were very controlling. I wasn’t living with them, but I was there a lot and they were always telling me I needed to come more. I had to pay for all the time I was there, so it was financially very draining,” Pfeiffer says.

“They believed that people in their highest state were breatharian.”

It was Michelle’s first husband – actor Peter Horton – who wrestled her away from these sun gobbling lunatics. Luckily, he was doing research for a role in a movie about followers of the Unification Church.

“We were talking with an ex-Moonie and he was describing the psychological manipulation, and I just clicked.” She realized, “I was in one” — a “cult.”

Presumably, all Pfeiffer’s breatharian friends ended up dying of severe dehydration, kidney failure and the effects of a severe stroke, which is what happens when you starve yourself and live off nothing but air.

Still, at least as crackpot religions go, this lot will be too weak to admonish anyone for taking the piss.
