Silk Road Rises From The Grave So Let’s Buy All The Drugs!

WHEN the FBI closed down dodgy website, Silk Road, they probably thought their work was done. However, this is the internet and people have a habit of not going away.

Five weeks after the drug vendors bit the dust, Silk Road 2.0 came online (“we have risen again”) and the site’s mastermind has adopted the Dread Pirate Roberts namesake used by (alleged) Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht.

A tweet said: “#SILKROAD IS BACK UP. DEJA VU ANYONE? #WERISEAGAIN

Drug buyers will be pleased. There’s been no decent replacement for Silk Road when it went under. Project Black Flag, for example, was just a huge scam which made off with everyone’s bitcoins.

Silk Road 2.0 may have a different URL (you can find out more here) but it uses the same tools and navigation as the old version and again, you’ll be paying for things with bitcoins. One thing – the new site allows users to enable 2-factor authentication, which adds an extra layer of security by encrypting all communication between buyer and vendor.

“[The FBI] can never arrest our spirit, our ideas or our passion,” says Dread Pirate Roberts on the new Silk Road forum site. “It is now time to simply pick ourselves back up, dust ourselves off, and continue fighting this revolution like we’ve never fought it before.”

So what can you buy? Well it has 486 listings for drugs, including 82 lots of weed and 93 lots of prescription drugs. Off you go. Stock up on the ingredients for Purple Drank and we’ll see you mid-Spring.
