IN “MY TEN SEX SHAME”, X Factor winner James Arthur wings the last drops from fame’s flannel by confessing to the Sun about his “TEEN SEX SHAME”. James, 25, had consensual legal sex, with 17-year-old Ellie Shepherdson.

Arthur says things like “I abandoned my responsibility as a role model” and “I’m definitely not a guy who grooms young girls”.

Anorak is aghast and agog. Where is the next John Peel, Bill Wyman (allegedly), Jimmy Page (allegedly), or Jimmy Savile? The kids need icons like the older generation had.

Says one music journalist from the 1970s:  “17! WTF. No wonder he’s ashamed.  The only way back for Arthur is to record a version of Good Morning Little Schoolgirl by Sonny Boy Williamson or Ted Nugent’s Jail Bait and hope the BBC considers playing his records. Where are the true role models who can assure today’s underge music fans – the people who actually spend their cash on this crap – that they really can shag their heros? Even the Wombles were more perverted than this mob.”

World ends.
