The race was 100 yards sprint along the embankment pushing a trolley laden with Wedgewood bone china, claimed to be unbreakable. Happy smiles as Ruby Hitchcock, who won the recent ‘Miss London Stores’ title, learns all about the glamour of Lawn Tennis from America’s ‘Gorgeous’ Gussie Moran, right, at Simpson’s department store in Piccadilly, London. They were attending the store’s 13th annual Pre-Wimbledon reception. Officials of leading Lawn Tennis associations and other sporting personalities were at the get-together to discuss the forthcoming Wimbledon Championships.
