She'’ll get a lot of argument from devotees of architect Frank Lloyd Wright, whose works always seem to stir arguments. Wright designed the vat-shaped structure on upper Fifth Avenue. It is the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.

City employes protesting threats of reductions in the size of promised pay increases demonstrate at New York’s City Hall Park March 31, 1959. They numbered about 2,000 police estimated. Some wore Bermuda shorts and carried fishing poles in reference to Bermuda vacation which Mayor Robert Wagner concluded the night before. Mayor blamed state government for “short-changing” the city and said municipal employes who left jobs to demonstrate would do so at their own expense.
