ARE you aware of the ITV2 series, The Big Reunion? Thus far, the show has brought Blue, Atomic Kitten, Liberty X and more, back together.

Now, voice of the show – Andi Peters – has said he wants to do a Britpop version. Just imagine. All those 30somethings fishing out their velvet blazers and flared cords out of the bedding box!

“I think there’s a Britpop version to be made,” Peters told Digital Spy. “There’s all those Britpop bands of the same era as the bands on this series. Of course, the adoration wasn’t the same. People didn’t adore them in the same way as they adored pop bands. But, oh my God, they’d have loads of stories.”

So, instead of 911 and B*Witched being filmed, prodded and dragged around on tour, we could potentially see Rick Witter having an argument with everyone from Echobelly, while some bloke from Northern Uproar looks on, completely bewildered to have been let out of the house.

Of course, the timing is perfect for such a show, what with 2014 being the 20th anniversary of Britpop and albums like ‘Definitely Maybe’ by Oasis, ‘His ‘N’ Hers’ by Pulp and Blur’s ‘Parklife all released getting a release in ’94.

However, seeing as all the important bands of that period are either still working in the public eye or together, it seems like we’d be treated to a show of the also-rans, and maybe Louise Wener having money thrown at her to perform with Sleeper again.

Menswear, you’d have to assume, have already said they’ll do it.
