Epic High School Science Prank Lands Paris Gray In The Sulfur Hydrogen Iodine Thulium

JESSICA Lee made this chemistry joke in her final school yearbook. Jessica thought her photo needed a quote. So. She quoted Christopher George Latore Wallace, aka The Notorious B.I.G.:

Which as anyone who runs their own meth lab know and who listens to BIG knows translates to:

All very good. And just as goo when Paris Gray made a similar periodic joke in her yearbook:

“When the going gets tough just remember to Barium, Carbon, Potassium, Thorium, Astatine, Arsenic, Sulfur, Uranium, Phosphorus”

Says Paris toAtlanta’s WSB-TV:

“Basically, it was me just saying start all over again. You have to go back and start all over.”

But Paris fell foul of the censors. She was  suspended and prohibited from attending her school’s senior passing our parade. And when they told her she would be banned from the graduation ceremony, Paris was unhappy. She told local news:

“I think their reaction was beyond what it should have been because nobody understood it. It just completely destroyed me, and my mom’s been telling me don’t let it ruin my happiness but it’s like really taking a big toll.”

So. Why does on student get a laugh for her joke and another get rusticated for the same thing? Gray and her mother (who calls her daughter a “nerd”) appealed. The officials relented. Paris will be able to participate in the ceremony and will give her commencement address.

Let;’s hope it’s a cracker.
