TRANSFER Balls presents the Daily Fabregas. Is the former Arsenal captain set to leave Barcelona? Let’s se what the experts have been saying in today’s newspapers:

The Daily Star deals only in facts:

Chelsea agree deal with Arsenal and Man United target Cesc Fabregas

Wow! A scoop from the Star team. And it’s the only newspaper that has it.

Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, who have a good reputation with close links to Barca, this morning claimed that the Blues had reached an agreement with Fabregas.

That’s the Spanish paper that says Cesc could be off to play for Bayern Munich. (The paper heard that scoop on…TalkSport!)

Unbothered by facts and research, the Star presses on with a need to fill space to deadline:

However, the clubs still need to agree a fee for the Spain star. It is believed Barcelona are holding out for £29.2m.

It must be flattering for Fabregas to know that Chelsea want him. But, as Sky Sports notes, Arsenal players wants him, too:

Premier League: Santi Cazorla wants Cesc Fabregas back at Arsenal

Of course, Santi hasn’t read the Star. And he doesn’t seem that bothered about Cesc. This is what he actually said:

“I don’t know what his future is, but I hope that he will be happy and enjoys the team wherever he is.

But Fabregas is coming to London, just not to Arsenal. We read it in the Star. And the Mail says Players and fans of the Gunners will be depressed at the news:

Cesc Fabregas playing for Chelsea will be a betrayal Arsenal fans will find hard to take

But hold on a moment. The Independent says the deal isn’t done:

Cesc Fabregas transfer latest: Where could the midfielder move to if he leaves Barcelona – Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool?

Adding:

Mourinho is understand to be keener on other targets than Fabregas.

And:

Jose Mourinho is not convinced Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas, with whom he has had several run-ins in the past, is the right player for Chelsea, with the Stamford Bridge board apparently far more enthusiastic about the purchase than the manager …

And then the Irish Indy states:

Mourinho prefers Koke or Pogba to Fabregas

So. Cesc will be playing for Mourinho, a man who doesn’t much like him and prefers other players.

Can anyone save him from Chelsea? The Bleacher Report knows:

Manchester United Transfer News: Cesc Fabregas Approach Eclipses Chelsea Offer

The Mirror adds:

Cesc Fabregas transfer: Barca star believes he could be set for Manchester United switch

Believes. Could. Any more facts?

And while Fabregas has received the firmest overtures from Zenit St Petersburg and Milan, the Spaniard has told clubs he is set on a move back to the Premier League.

So. He might not be heading to play in the Premier LEague. He might go to Italy or Russia.

Of course, he’s already agreed a deal with Chelsea. It’s true. We read it in the Star.

Mroe Trasnfer Balls every day…
