Transfer Balls: Fabregas Wants Arsenal Who Want Him To Play For Chelsea

by | 6th, June 2014

TRANSFER Balls – more news from the Daily Fabreags. Following the Daily Star and TalkSports‘ “exclusive” news that Barcelona’s Cesc Fabregas has passed a medical and signed for Chelsea, the Mirror today tells its readers that, er, he hasn’t:

So. Jose Mourinho is “interested” in Fabregas. Well, so too as ManCity, Manchester United, Liverpool and Zenit St Petersburg , according to the Press.

And remember that in July 2013, the trusty Daily Express announced:

Cesc Fabregas says yes to Manchester United move

One thing we do know is that Arsenal don’t want him. The Independent today states:

Arsenal REJECT chance to use their buy-back option agreed with Barcelona

Why would Arsenal reject that option to buy back their former captain so early in the Transfer Season? Why would they give a rival a clear run at the player? Seems odd, no?

The Press Association says Arsenal haven’t done anything:

Arsenal’s depth of creative midfielders could see the Barclays Premier League club pass up on their buy-back option for former captain Cesc Fabregas.

Press Association Sport understands while there remains a strong emotional bond with the Spain midfielder, who left for Barcelona in a £35million deal three years ago, manager Arsene Wenger may yet decide against exercising first option to bring the 27-year-old back to the Emirates Stadium.

Could. May. Not exactly he language of facts is it.

Should Arsenal not decide to take up their option, then Fabregas – said to prefer a return to the club he joined as a raw 16-year-old – would likely trigger renewed interest from both Chelsea and Manchester United, who tried to take him to Old Trafford last summer.

The last word in today’s Daily Fabregas is with Jose Mourinho, who says:

“I have been analysing the situation, I think it looks like he’s really interested in leaving Barcelona and is very, very interested in coming back to England.”

Hey, Jose. You’ve already bought him. Don’t you read the papers?
