Transfer Balls: Suarez Stays To Partner Sanchez As 8 More Bite Victims Come Forward

by | 29th, June 2014

TRANSFER Balls – in association with the Daily Luis Suarez: as ever the aim for the Press is to spin to-deadline news from unnamed ‘sources’:

Last Friday June 27 the Liverpool Echo had news to gladden the heart of Liverpool FC fan

Should the Post be believed? After all on June 26, it reported:

Meanwhile, LFC’s pursuit of Alexis Sanchez is a “done deal” according to former captain Phil Thompson. Speaking to Irish radio, the Kirkby defender said the Barcelona star is already on his way to Anfield. “Just yesterday I heard things from people saying that the Sanchez deal was actually done.”

Two days later the Post reported:

But Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb believes Sanchez could be on his way to Bayern Munich, with claims the Bundesliga champions have agreed a swap with Barcelona. The deal would see Toni Kroos move to Camp Nou and Sanchez head to Germany, scuppering any hopes of moving to Anfield.

That would be the same Toni Kroos the trusty Press told us had agreed to join Manchester United.

One day after the Post’s scoop that Luis was staying at Anfield, other less local newspapers had other news on the Uruguayan. He was on his way to Barcalona – and that bite had knocked £20m from his valuation. He was now worth £50m not £70m.

And Liverpool were intereted in selling their star player.

Today we find out how much Liverpool want for him.

80

They should be so lucky to get £80m. After all, if one bite can knock £20m off the valuation, what can 8 bites do?

8

The Star’s scoop is mastercalss in balls.

A source told the Daily Star Sunday: “FIFA have not only taken into consideration this bite and two previous incidents when they handed Suarez a four-month ban from football.

“They are also aware of other alleged biting incidents from his early professional playing days. There are people who have come forward to FIFA with details. There are allegations of five attacks but whistleblowers have told FIFA they were covered up because football officials in Uruguay did not want it known that their star asset was involved.

“They suspect foul play but only time will tell what happened exactly.”

You want facts? You can’t handle the facts – of which there are none.

And – of course – it’s an “EXCLUSIVE”.

More Transfer Balls every day…
