Transfer Balls: Manchester United Figure On Cristiano Ronaldo
TRANSFER Balls: Is Cristiano Ronaldo leving Real Madrid to play for Manchester United?
Admittedly, Roanldo has hardly been pouring old water on rumours that he wants out of Real, telling media:
“I love Manchester; everyone knows that – I have said it many times. Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there, the supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day.”
And thyen he said:
“It is all speculation. I’m happy at Madrid. I won’t talk about my future, it doesn’t make sense.”
Maybe it doesn’t But you did it.
So. To the Express:
Man Utd quoted £140MILLION to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford
That’s the asking price?
According to reports, United would have to fork out at least £140MILLION to land Ronaldo.
What reports? The Express doess’t say.
Ronaldo’s representatives have made it known the World Player of the Year would demand £380,000-a-week wages, just shy of £20m a year.
And with the 29-year-old just two years into a five-year deal at the Bernabeu, United would need to offer him a four-year deal worth £80m in total.
Real are prepared to cash in on Ronaldo, but want to recoup at least £60m in transfer fees. That takes any potential deal to at least £140m for the Red Devils, before image-rights payments and loyalty bonuses are even discussed.
The Mirror sees that £140m and raises it to…
Ronaldo is currently on £380,000 a week and would command the same salary should he leave Real, who in turn will accept a minimum fee of £60m for their prized asset.
With image-rights payments, loyalty bonuses paid out over the full length of his contract and other incentives, he could pocket a further £60m.
So. They both papers agree on the wages. But the Mail says the player earns £288,000 a week.
Such are the facts…
