CHELSEA Balls in The Daily Express, which says “Diego Costa in Chelsea training… despite Jose Mourinho saying he can’t!”

Mourinho is a liar? No.

What the Chelsea manager said was part of the usual club v country row.

“He cannot be on top of his game. He’s doing almost nothing in training… If he doesn’t go to the national team and if he stays here for 15 days just on treatment, he has the perfect chance to be top for Chelsea and top for the national team. If he doesn’t have this period, it will be always, plays one game, the other is in trouble, the muscle is tight, the muscle is in danger of rupture.”

Pretty clear that Mourinho wants Spain to overlook Costa. But, then, Spain may argue that if the injury is so bad, why is Costa not rested for Chelsea.

But out job is to highlight the balls being passed off as fact and sensation in the Press. So. Here’s a photo of Costa taking the fresh air at Chelsea’s Cobham training ground. If you look closely, you can see that he’s barely moving…
