TRANSFER Balls: Can it be that the Gunners are going to buy Edison Cavani?

The Daily Express tells its readers today:

Arsenal are working on a deal to try and sign Edinson Cavani.

This is Transfer Balls, so for reasons that don’t need explaining, the Express adds:

They face a battle with Liverpool and Manchester United to land the PSG hit man.

Not Manchester City? The Express will surely save that for another day.

However, they may need to fork out £55m to land him.

So. Working on that deal involves finding £55m.

It is thought Gunners officials will meet with PSG chiefs to discuss the possibility of a deal involving Cavani, although it is thought they would have to stump up £55million to bring him to the Emirates.

Cop a load of those facts from the paper which told its readers:

August 27: Arsenal line up £50m Cavani bid.

And:

cavani (1)

And, in any case, Chelsea already bought him. We read that in the Telegraph and the Mirror:
