Liverpool Balls: Raheem Sterling Hand Jives With Lions And Mates With A Chair
LIVERPOOL Balls: the Sun continues to hound Raheem Sterling and, by inference, England manager Roy Hodgson, who told the Press that Sterling had not been feeling 100% to start the match in Estonia.
The Sun leads with:
Tired’ Raheem At 3am 3 Lions Party
No. Not leads the sports section. Leads the world news. This is the Sun’s biggest story:
The story is told in bullet points:
– Sunday: Roy says star’s ‘too tired’ to start for England in qualifier
– Monday: Player parties with dwarves, bearded lady, snake and Ox
In that order!
The Liverpool ace, 19, was at the Cirque le Soir club in London with Three Lions team-mates Danny Welbeck, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jonjo Shelvey — with fellow clubbers saying he stood on his chair and danced.
His chair? He went to a nightclub and pulled up a chair. What was this wild, young fool doing, the hand jive?
One woman said: “There was a group of footballers on a big table. Raheem was very visible. Danny Welbeck and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were also there. None of them were that low-key. Raheem was even up on his chair dancing at one point.”
“There was a girl in the group of footballers who seemed to be Raheem’s mate.”
His mate, as in the woman with whom he has mated? To go with the snakes and oxen, meet Raheem Tarzan, lord of the jungle music.
But the best bit in thgis hatchet job on a hard-working, honest teenager whose very good at football is this:
“People noticed him but it’s not the kind of club where famous people get hounded.”
Not there they don’t. The punters, or at least one nameless ‘woman’, waits a week or so then calls the Sun.
Raheem’s also in the Mail.
The paper produces the same story as the Sun, illustrating it with a picture of the Liverpool player out in, er, July. Below that a photo of a scantily clad woman is captioned:
Hedonistic: Sterling was partying at the Cirque le Soir club near Carnaby Street where entertainment includes fire eating and obese people in nappies
