Manchester United Lummox Marouane Fellaini Didn’t Spit On Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero: He Drooled

by | 3rd, November 2014

MANCHESTER United are an expensive mess. Manchester City are powerful. And the talk is on whther or not Marouane Fellaini spat at Sergio Aguero during the Manchester derby.

Did he?

The Mirror says he did – maybe:

…pictures appear to show him spitting at the match winner… Pictures showed Fellaini leaning over Aguero and abusing him – and appearing to spit in his direction – after the City striker had gone down under a challenge from him in the United area.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal says:

“I have heard that it is a question on social media, but already the TV has shown that he is shouting and sometimes when you shout there’s a little bit of saliva with it. I don’t think that he’s a spitting figure.”

Back in March 2014, the Manchester Evening News reported:

The subsequent statement from an FA spokesperson read:

“After studying all the available footage the FA have decided there is no case to answer”

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini knows nothing?

“No, no, I don’t know about that… it’s something I don’t know about.”

Someone made a Vine, which provides no context and little perspective but is, nonetheless, interesting:

The Indy notes:

…the Football Association may examine the footage but it is unlikely to take action against Fellaini. There is no emphatic evidence of deliberate spitting.

Drooling is fine. Aguero is rather good at football…
