Did you hear the Daily Mirror’s story about the woman who “locked cat in cage and put it in bath – because it ate her pizza”?

Sounds terrible. The woman is a horrendous human being. Right?

Facebook user is brought to account by by fellow users as she posts pictures of pet carrier in the tub after reacting furiously to her pussy scoffing her meal

Hold on… Pet carrier. Not pet cat.

The photograph you see above is captioned:
Callous: The picture appears to show the cat locked inside a pet carrier in a partly submerged bath

No it doesn’t. We can’t see any cat. And as for the bath being “partly submerged”, the bath appears to be pretty shallow and above ground.

A woman sparked outrage after she claimed she locked her cat in a cage and left it in the bath after it scoffed a pizza she had been looking forward to eating. The unidentified Facebook user, from Swansea, South Wales, posted a furious status update, punctuated with foul language.

It said: “Can’t believe my f****** cat ate a £15 pizza fat c*** I’m livid I been looking forward to that all day like! My pussy will will be getting wet tonight let me tell you!. Little c***!”

Is that even about a cat?

The posts, which were later removed has been screen-grabbed by concerned users and brought to the attention of the RSPCA .

In a later post she wrote that animal welfare officers had called at her home.

“Animal inspection check was tip top so go and and find something else to do with your pathetic lives!!!,” she posted.

Chris Gee’s story about an unnamed woman who said her ‘wet pussy’ was in the bath is the Daily Mirror’s second ‘top story’.

And this story has travelled.

Wales Online had some of the comments the woman’s tweet attracted. The cat lovers wanted the ‘chav’ dead.

The Southwest Evening Post realses that this is a global incident:

Christina Mccarthy messaged the Evening Post page about the incident.

She said: “I do not live in the area, but this girl has ignited a spark with not only this country but US, Canada and Australia. There is a petition now being signed on FB to call for an investigation into her. This could be a way to highlight animal abuse and how people unite against those that think it is acceptable.”

It could also be a way to waste RSPCA time:

A spokeswoman for the RSPCA said: “We can confirm that we were alerted to a video on Facebook which appears to show a cat being placed in to a travel basket and put in to a bath of water as a form of punishment. Our inspectors have investigated the matter and checked the cat’s welfare. They have also spoken to the person involved in the incident and given them advice. We are grateful to the members of the public who brought this matter to our attention and we would like to reassure people that the cat involved in the incident was, thankfully, unharmed.

“We would remind members of the public that the actions in the video should not be copied as they are not in the best interests of any animal. We would strongly advise against reprimanding any animal and the RSPCA believes the best form of training is through positive reinforcement.”

What video? It was a picture.

Round up the usual suspects…
