He has? The media is full of news that Arsenal are buying central defender Gabriel Paulista for £6m (Metro), £10m (Telegraph) and £15m (Guardian).   So. Why would they buy Ramos, too?

And Arsenal are not alone. Just yesterday the Daily Star reported:

Arsenal have been given a huge boost in the hunt for Sergio Ramos after he angrily rejected Real Madrid’s latest contract offer.

Ramos, who was subject of an approach from Arsenal earlier this month, has been in talks over a new deal to stay at Madrid. But reports say he’s angrily rejected fresh terms this week, with Real refusing to give him a big pay rise, and the news has alerted the Gunners.

Arsene Wenger is after a new centre back, and while Gabriel Paulista looks set to arrive, the Frenchman has not ruled out making further signings. Ramos has also been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United.
