Suspected bank robber caught after signing his own name on note demanding money

 

Good letter writing form has not gone out the window. Take John Chapman. It’s alelged that when he was in the Umpqua Bank, Yuba City, California, he handed the bank teller a note. It read:

“Give me $10,000 dollars or I will kill you… Yours, John Chapman

Mr Chapman’s failure to place his address in the top corner did not affect the outcome: police spotted him waiting to board a Greyhound bus to New York.
