Ku Klux Klan rally outside South Carolina Statehouse: 26 photos

by | 20th, July 2015

On July 18, 2015, the Ku Klux Klan revealed that they continue to exist, albeit in diminished form. Unmasked and angry, uncertain of their own arcane message and symbols they adopt the badges of more recent German-born Nazism, the Klan held a rally outside the South Carolina Statehouse. Once they might have been inside and powerful. Now they are locked out as the Confederate flag is lowered.

Their display was meant to counter the Black Educators for Justice rally. The KKK needed them. Without a visible and immediate enemy to shout against, the KKK members would have been bereft, left alone to shout against history.
