Arsenal top of list of clubs Pep Guadiola wants to manage

Former Times football editor Tony Evans tells the Evening Standard that Pep Guardiola wants to mange Arsenal.

Arsenal have the opportunity to acquire a coach with the potential to take the club into the next age of the game. Pep Guardiola is the sort of manager who can lift the Gunners to another level. He is young, suited to life in north London and keen to work in the Premier League…

Ever since he took that time off after Barca, he’s talked about clubs that attract him. It’s a very short shortlist and Arsenal are top of it.

The problem is, the position’s not open. It might just be a case of wrong place at wrong time, which is sad for you Gunners. He’d be a perfect fit. It does worry me there’s no plan for the succession at the Emirates

Pep is a great fit for Arsenal. But, then, so is Arsene Wenger.

Pep to Arsenal looks like nothing more than wishful thinking.
